From Jenna: My husband just started taking antidepressants. They really seem to help them, and I'm very happy about that.  You probably already guessed where I'm going.  His sex drive immediately plummeted. I don't want to even bring it up to him. I don't want to make him feel bad.  But this is depressing me! Anyone else have this problem?

Maybe you can set up a really romantic situation - like a hot bath or even go on a sexy vacation to try to set the scene. Even if he's not into it himself, he could please you.

I didn't know until now that it was a side effect. I told my therapist that I did not want to take the drugs to get through my current crisis. But your man should be willing to "help you" or would probably be thrilled to see you "help" yourself. I find it a huge turn-on when my wife plays with herself in front of me. Hang in there and don't even think about finding someone else; that is NEVER the right answer!

It is not going to make either of you any less depressed if you find "a friend on the side." Caring for each other through a tough time will bring you closer together - and the sex will get even better.
