The best thing to do so a fight doesn't start over something so simple is to intorduce your own. Don't fret over something that can be fixed very easily... its not worth it.

I tell my kids that it's ok to not share once in a while if something is really special to them. It sounds like your gf is not by nature a selfish person so let her have her toys.
