So what’s it going to be tonight? Gay porn or straight porn?

You may be confused by the notion of a challenge between the two. You wouldn’t be alone. When I told a straight friend recently that I liked nothing better than straight porn, he nearly begged me to know why. I promised I’d tell him after he put some on. And he did. (One point for the gay boy.)

“So…,” I asked, like a high school girl, “how was it?”

I was talking to my 27-year-old friend Sean. He’s a hot cross between David Beckham and, if you can picture it, Seth Green. He’s got the looks, the humor, the charm, and the red hair. He’s also got a ferocious sex drive not to be messed with, and he usually offers up hot sexual anecdotes to anyone within range, including the poor unsuspecting woman behind the counter at 7-Eleven.   

There are times in a man’s life when he just needs to get laid. The rigmarole of meeting someone, engaging them in conversation, finding commonalities, and then eventually scoring is just too much of a production. Instant gratification, in its purest form, is the ultimate goal.

My personal solution is to accept defeat and take matters into my own hands, so to speak.  Sometimes I’ll call on the services of an old friend, but when the deed is done, I usually remember why he is no longer at the top of my call list.

There are some who will promote the more “traditional” response which is, quite simply, “Hell no, never ever.”  Ask them why.  You’ll get some who defend traditional coupling, where the notion of inviting a third party into the bedroom, or allowing their lover to sleep around, is just wrong or nasty.
