It happened on television’s The Newlywed Game. The host asked contestants, “Where was the strangest place you ever made whoopee?” The first two wives confessed their out-of-bedroom experiences, but the third wife had misunderstood the question. Her answer in bold black letters on white poster board read, “In the Butt.”

And so anal sex entered the popular culture on prime-time TV. And, we learned that heterosexual men found pleasure in a sex act that had long been thought the secret domain of gay men.

The taboo or gender-transgressive aspects of anal sex are exciting, as are the psychological aspects of submission or dominance. While straight men can easily alternate between the roles of penetrator and receiver, it’s here that most gay men usually sort themselves into one category or the other.

Being able to refuse a lover’s request and remain sexually alluring is difficult, says Dan Anderson, a gay man and writer. That’s probably why some gay men readily identify themselves in the personals as “tops” or “bottoms.”  They don’t want to be put in the position of saying “no.”

However, there is a lovely and loving phrase circulating in the gay community these days, often texted or emailed as simply “GGG.” Coined by Indy columnist Dan Savage, the letters stand for “good, giving and game.”

So how can you become a GGG? Start by asking this:  What are your lover’s fantasies? What would he like?

If he finds stimulation of the anus, rectum and prostate pleasurable, you’ll be limited only by your imagination. There are hundreds of anal sex toys on the market these days. The Mushroom Plug, a three-inch vibrating soft jelly anal plug with a multi-speed remote, is a favorite because it stays in place and can be worn for long periods of time. It’s good for solos or duets. Anal beads, designed to be inserted into the anus and up the rectum, come in a variety of sizes and materials. Most are molded and made of soft and easy-to-clean silicone and jelly rubber. Or try the 10-inch graduated Black Silk Beads made of soft, flexible silicone for super sensations. When your partner climaxes, pull them out slowly, one bead at a time, to prolong his pleasure.

If he’s got a pirate fantasy, take aim at your first mate’s prostate with the Anal Filler, a 6 ½-inch soft jelly shaft with a small tip and a handle for easy maneuvering, or the Prostate Probe. A cross between a probe and anal beads, this toy resembles an anchor with a series of four studded pleasure beads on a shaft with a hooked handle. Anchors aweigh!

If he’s a cowboy at heart, lasso your lover with an Ecstasy Rope. Slide the soft jelly ring around your shaft for a long-lasting, rock-hard erection, then insert the bendable rope into your lover’s backdoor. The vibrating egg will rock your balls while the textured rope will give your lover an intense buzz. Maybe he doesn’t fantasize about the Silicone Flexi-Power Rod, but he will. This probe-vibrator combo twists and flexes like a bull in the ring, and the vibrator’s seven speeds guarantee a thrilling ride.

Does he fantasize about a secret lover or a crowded bed? Then treat him to a new penis. There are a multitude of realistic dongs that come in all shapes and sizes. Maybe he would like a super shaft molded from the cocks of his favorite porn star – Sean Michael, Lexington Steele or John Holmes? Or, for some serious target practice, offer him a hand and the Mansize Thruster, a 9-by-2 inch shaft with a 5-inch handle. Inside the soft Cyberskin, a firm core gives you plenty of thrusting power – and feels like the real deal.

With any anal sex, begin with extra-thick anal lubes such as Gun Oil Lube (guaranteed to keep your cannon well oiled) and Sex Grease. These lubes are safe for use with condoms and super slick for sensational hand jobs.

If you find out what your lover wants and balk at his request, you risk becoming an obstacle to his sexual satisfaction. Instead, choose to be a good, giving and game lover, and reap the rewards of a fulfilling relationship.

Quote of the Day

You don't appreciate a lot of stuff in school until you get older. Little things like being spanked every day by a middle-aged woman. Stuff you pay good money for in later life.
