![]() Ladies, do you want to give your mate a red-hot Valentine's Day gift that'll make you feel like a million bucks? Believe me, the last thing your sweetie wants is another bottle of cologne. This year, why not make an appointment with a local photographer specializing in boudoir photography, and present your sweetie with a naughty portfolio of you at your wicked best? But what if you hate having your picture taken? What if you've never seen a snapshot of yourself that hasn't made you cringe in horror? Relax—light a candle to the spirits of Marilyn Monroe and Bettie Page, pour yourself a glass of champagne, and understand that every woman needs a little subterfuge to bring out her inner pin-up queen. Here's a list of the top three professional tricks all lingerie models use to look smoking hot for the camera—and remember, your partner loves every inch of your beautiful body, lady, so flaunt what you've got no matter what age, size, or shape you're rocking! 1. Pick out some sexy lingerie that accents your best features and hides your flaws. Remember to choose fabrics that are visually sensual—sumptuous velvet and smooth satin are classic choices, though faux-fur stoles and shiny PVC also photograph very well. You want your costume to be sensual and touchable; to almost leap out of the photograph with visible tactile information. 2. If you wear makeup, remember—matte is your friend. Don't wear anything frosted or glittery, and avoid body oil or greasy lotion. Use lots of loose powder on your face and body to make your skin appear velvety-soft and even. What is far too much for street wear is just right for a photo shoot, so powder frequently and don't worry if your face feels cakey—you'll look porcelain-smooth in your pictures. Use plenty of eyeliner on your upper lids only—lining your lower lids will make your eyes appear small and dull. False eyelashes photograph wonderfully if you can figure out how to glue them on (hint: ask a drag queen friend for help). Avoid neutral tones, which will wash out under strong light: go all-out with scarlet lips and deep, dramatic shades. 3. Make eye contact with the lens of the camera, not with the photographer. Eye contact is extremely sexy, and for a boudoir shoot you want your sweetheart to be able to imagine him- or herself right there in the frame with you, being hypnotized by your seductive gaze. If you're having trouble communicating with your eyes, look at the camera and think lusty thoughts: I want you to go down on me RIGHT NOW or I know you want me—now what are you doing to do about it?, or, simply, Do me. Fantasize! Let your imagination run wild! Your arousal will show in your smoldering expression. Allow your lips to part naturally, as if you're inviting a long, hot kiss. Millions of adult models know that sometimes, a pout is sexier than a grin. Your photographer will help you achieve poses that appear effortless and sensual, so allow your paparazzo to coach you into position. A good boudoir photographer's job is to function as the eyes of the viewer and to capture you at your best, so even if a pose feels awkward, it probably looks fabulous on film! | |
